EXEL™ - System Overview

The non-electric initiation system, flexible and easy to use.

Thanks to it's ease of use and the immunity from stray currents, the non-electric Exel™ initiation system can be used in many areas of explosives technology.  Storage and transport classificaton as 1.4 S allows easier logistics.

 

Exel™ MS

  • Short-period detonators
  • In the Exel™ MS (Milli Second) short-period detonators, 20 delay numbers between 25 and 500 ms in 25 ms intervals are available.

Exel™ LP

  • Long-period detonators
  • The Exel™ LP (Long Period) series begins with a »time stage zero« with a 25 ms delay. The delay interval is 100 ms per stage between delay numbers 1 and 10.
  • Delay numbers 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 follow, each 200 ms later, and delay numbers 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70, each 500 ms later.

Exel™ Connectadet

  • Surface connectors
  • By adjusting the combination of inner delay cap and connector block a shrapnel free surface connector was developed. This new ergonomic design allows save and easy handling.
  • Exel surface connectors are assembled with green shock tube for ease of recognition.
  • Different delay times with 9 ms, 17 ms, 25 ms, 33 ms, 42 ms, 65 ms and 100 ms are available.

Exel™ Handidet

  • Detonator system
  • The Exel™ Handidet detonator system is a fixed combination of short-period detonators and surface connectors. The short-period detonator is used for charges in drillholes.
  • Surface connectors are used to initiate the shock tubes of the following Exel™ surface connectors and Exel™ detonators which have been inserted into the connector block.
