Nobel Prime® is a small-hole primer (a ‘detonator amplifier’) for use in tunnel rounds in conjunction with the mechanized charging of emulsion explosive or ANFO. Nobel Prime facilitates the charging work. Thanks to its small diameter, it is easy to insert into the drill hole together with the detonator by way of the charging hose.
Nobel Prime® consists of a special dynamite that contains the high explosive pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN) and is supplied in orange plastic cartridges. The PETN gives the product more energy and a higher detonation velocity compared with conventional dynamites.
