Cord : F - Cord
F-CORD 10 is the designation on detonating cord (10 g/m) produced by OY Forcit AB in Finland and distributed in Scandinavia by Orica Mining Services. F-Cord 10 has a PETN (pentaerythriton tetranitrate) explosive core. The core is encased by two layers of textile yarn protected with a flexible plastic coating.
Typical applications for F-Cord 10 are:
- Initiator for NONEL in tunnel blasting (alternative. E-Cord with 5 g/m).
- Contour and dimensional stone blasting in combination with tube charges or in combination with stronger detonating cord in the boreholes (instantaneous initiation).
