Anolit
Anolit® is an explosive consisting of ammonium nitrate and mineral oil. Ammonium nitrate exists in the form of porous prills. Anolit has limited water resistance. Waterlogged holes must be dewatered before loading commences. Loading can then begin by either loose pouring from a bag or by help of pneumatical loading equipment. Anolit is an excellent intermediate charge.
Anolit Light has a reduced relative weight and bulk strength compared to standard Anolit. Water resistance is the same as standard Anolit and charging can be done the same way.
Anolit Light is specially developed for controlled blasting:
- for top charging of bench blasts (reduces danger of flyrock)
- to achieve controlled rock movement of the first blast in the round
- where there are shock requirements
Only Anolit Standard can be used under ground. The other variants (Anolit Light, Anolit A, Anolit Extra and Anolit Extra A) shall NOT be used under ground, because of negative oxygen balance.
