Exel™ Millisecond (MS) Connectors
Exel™ Millisecond (MS) Connectors are signal tube based delay connectors designed to introduce accurate delays into surface detonating cord trunklines.
Exel™ MS Connectors consist of two delay detonators encased in separate plastic cleats, connected by a length of Exel™ signal tube. The detonators incorporate delay elements and a high strength PETN base charge inside an aluminium shell. The detonators are encased in colour coded plastic cleats printed with the delay time. The cleats are designed to securely attach to detonating cord.
The yellow Exel™ signal tube is a high strength, high abrasion resistant tubing which transmits the initiation signal to the detonator. The ends of the signal tube are crimped into the detonator shells.
