Stawell Gold Mine (SGM) is an underground mining operation located in Victoria, Australia. The mining method employed is long hole retreat stoping, utilising up and down holes with artificial concrete pillars. Stawell is currently mining the Golden Gift and Magdala orebodies.

Xstrata’s Newlands Open Cut coal mine is located approximately 130 kilometers west of Mackay in the Northern Region of the Bowen Basin, in Central Queensland. Due to the steep dip of the coal seams, which ranges up to 23 degrees in the North Eastern corner of the pit, the previous drill and blast method produced sub-optimum results for both blasting and excavation. Through successful implementation of through seam blasting, as part of the ABT™ project in the Wollombi Pit, significant improvements have been realized by Newlands.

Southport Central is a large three tower residential and commercial precinct developed by the Raptis Group at Southport, on Queensland’s Gold Coast. During construction, the triple-tower development was the largest mixed-use development under construction in Australia. When complete, Southport Central will deliver 730 new luxury apartments, some 350 commercial office suites and 75 ground-floor retail tenancies.

Pentex™ D is a purposely designed cast booster for use in small diameter development blastholes (32mm to 48mm) when loaded with bulk emulsion. A specifically designed hose end applicator to be used in conjunction with Pentex™ D is also supplied with the booster.

The Busan – Ulsan City Railway Project is a new 6.5km section of railway between the cities of Busan and Ulsan in South Korea. The project included the development of 3.5km’s of tunnel; a 200m section of this tunnel was only 68m away from a very sensitive Precision Facility and several residential apartment buildings were only 500m away from the tunnel portal.
