Nexa™ Combidet™ SL
Nexa™ Combidet™ SL is a combination detonator which consists of an in-hole detonator on one end of the tube and a surface connection block on the other.
Nexa™ Combidet™ SL complements the Nexa™ U Det-system and simplifies the connection work without forgoing the possibility to give each particular blasthole its individual initiation time.
Each hole in the round has the same type of Nexa™ Combidet™ SL detonators. The delay between the rows is obtained with Nexa™ Combidet™ SL’s surface connection unit. Connection and delay between the rows is made with Nexa™ Eclip or Nexa™ Connectadet™. The round is fired conventionally.
One advantage with Nexa™ Combidet™ SL is that stock-keeping maybe kept at a minimum level. Only one kind of Nexa™ Combidet™ SL and one kind of Nexa™ Eclip or Nexa™ Connectadet™ is required to carryout most blasts.
In order to fully exploit the system’s range of possibilities, the worksite should have a standardized work cycle with recurrent drilling, charging and firing patterns. Such work sites are quarries, open pit mines and large construction sites.
Note of safety! As the surface connector is connected to an in-hole detonator it is of utmost importance that the surface connector is not subjected to impact or squeezing during the charging operation. Such risk may be movement of equipment on the bench.
Nexa™ Combidet™ SL detonators are designed to provide reliable sequencing of development rounds. The in-hole detonator will directly initiate cap sensitive boosters and packaged explosives
